Franz Schubert (1797-1828) : Impromptu en sol bémol majeur Op.90 (D.899) No.3
Vladimir Horowitz (1903-1989) en concert à Vienne en 1987L'Impromptu n° 3 en si bémol majeur est surnommé « Rosamunde » car son thème est une variation de sa musique de scène. Schubert avait déjà réutilisé ce thème dans le Quatuor à cordes n° 13 en la mineur, D. 804, également surnommé « Rosamunde ».
A noter que cet Impromptu de Schubert a illustré plusieurs films, notamment Trop belle pour toi de Bertrand Blier (1989), remanié par le compositeur Michael Nyman, sous le nom de Impromptu pour 12 doigts pour le film Bienvenue à Gattaca réalisé par Andrew Niccol (1997), et plus récemment The Lady in the Van, film britannique réalisé par Nicholas Hytner, sorti en 2015. -
